Description
English: In 1931, a stereotypical "Southern Boss" orders the murders of Communist labor organizers Charles J. Coder and Lewis Hurst. In the first panel, he is giving orders to Dallas Country district attorney William McCraw and Dallas mayor J. Waddy Tate; in the second panel, he is giving orders to "Police Commissioner Graves" and "Judge Adams"; and in the third panel, he is giving orders directly to the Ku Klux Klan. The fourth panel shows Coder and Hurst being beaten and flogged (as occurred on the night of March 5th, 1931).
