Livingston's Wholesale Prices For Market Gardeners Cucumbers Davis Perfect. ^ variety which has become exceedingly popular, * as it is of such fine quality and the outdoor grown fruit has the appearance of greenhouse stock. It retains its rich, dark green color when grown out-doors. Apart from this it is used quite often as a forcing Cucumber, and those wishing to have a fine, uniform crop should try our stock of Davis Per- fect, which is very true to type. Oz., 10c; ^ lb., 25c; lb., 80c; 5 lbs., $3.75; 10 lbs., $7.25. Livingston's Extra-Early White Spine. 7^'^ p"^?;^ ^ ■ IS very uniform and shapely. It is excellent not only for first early, but for general crop as well. The very best for slicing; keeps green much longer than the yellow varieties; makes choice pickles, straight and smooth; a great bearer; no sort excels it in crispness and flavor. Vines are vigorous growers. Oz., 10c; ^ lb., 30c; lb., $1.00; 5 lbs., $4.75; 10 lbs., $9.00. LIVINGSTON'S EVERGREEN PICKLING. (Introduced by us in 1890). Generally admitted to possess every qualification re- quired in a perfect pickling Cucumber. Exceptionally productive. It is a very strong grower, extra-early and bears firm, crisp pick- les. Excellent for slicing also. Oz., 10c; ^ lb., 30c; lb., $1.00. 5 lbs., $4.75. Earlv Fortune. vines are very strong growing, disease re- sistant, and productive. The fruits are quite long, averaging about 9 inches in length, slightly tapering. This sort is very popular both as a slicer and for pickles. Flesh firm and crisp; few seeds. One of the best early general purpose Cucumbers. Used in large quantities by southern growers. Oz., 10c; ^4 lb., 30c; lb., $1.00; 5 lbs., $4.75. Green Prolific. boston pickling. Of uniform growth, . seldom too large for pickling; produces fine, short, green pickles, and is immensely productive. Oz., 10c; ^ lb., 30c; lb., $1.00; 5 lbs., $4.75. IMPROVED LONG GREEN—A popular old sort. The vines are very strong growing and productive. The fruits are quite long, averaging 8 to 10 inches in length, and dark green in color, and have few seeds. One of the best general-purpose Cucumbers. Oz., 15c; % lb., 35c; lb., $1.25; 5 lbs., $6.00. H. J. Rhodes^ Lee County, Fla. writes, Jan 21st: / have gotten my Cucumber Seed from you for se'veral years, and I can say I don't think there is any better. Mr. Tilian Bowers, Daviess Co., Ind., writes, Jan 31: / have been so ivell pleased ivith every Seed and Plant I have ever bought from you, and have vjon many prizes. ..I voant to make this summer a success. It will be of interest to you as well as to me to note my championship. I sell Flowers, and my start was from the Living- ston Company. I want to thank you for the nice selection you have sent me and appreciate what your bulbs and seeds Jiave meant to me. VICKERY'S FORCING. Used for the greenhouse and outside growing. It is of the White Spine type but is longer and a deeper green, Vickery's Forcing is more productive than the long variety used by some growers. It does not have a trace of bitterness. Growers of Vickery's and others of this type should give the new Longfellow a good trial. It is very promising. Oz., 30c; Ya lb., $1.00; lb., $3.50. New Longfellow. ^^^^ season we sent the Longfellow out on the recommendation of the originators, but we now have reports from some of our Greenhouse growers and others, stating their satisfaction with the Longfellow. A few were disappointed, but at the same time there were other standard sorts that failed, owing to unfavorable conditions. So far it has not proven as long as first stated. We find that it is nearer 10 inches in length than 12. It is certainly a beautiful shaped var- iety, of a rich dark green in color, and very attractive. It is a cross of White Spine and Livingston's Emerald. From the latter it gets its dark green color, which it retains for a long time. Gardeners will find Longfellow a fine "straight pack" sort for shipping. ^ oz., 20c; oz., 30c; Ya lb., $1.00; lb., $3.50; Selected stock. Y2 oz., 25c; oz., 45c; Ya lb., $1.40; lb., $5.00.
