Brown, auxiliary director, was backedby the New England Hotel Mens Association, the Massachusetts HotelIMens Association, the Boston Hotel Mens Association, and by the mayorof Boston. A. met at Hotel Rosslyn. and were shown about the shopping districtin automobiles and in small walkint^ parties under the guidance of acommittee of local women, of whom the chairman was j\Irs. Dwight Hart.All seemed surprised with the size and excellence of the Los Angeles storesand shops, and were unstinted in their praise of them. During the afternoon a tour of the residence districts was made by thewhole party in automobiles. Starting from the Lankershim Hotel, at Sev-enth and Broadway, they were taken back through the business section andto Elysian Park, from there on through the park and along the northwesternborder of the city to Westlake Park, then through the Wilshire b<;iulevardtract and West Adams street district back to their hotels.
