Summary

[edit]
Description
English: At 𝐁𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭̧𝐚 ran a 𝐟𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚̆ 𝐝𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚 which had the name "𝐀𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐚". It exploited the forests of the upper basin of the Olte river and the Bistrita river. By the 1940s, the number of factory workers had gradually reached 150-160.

The mill had 4 sections: the log warehouse, the sawmill hall (where two sawmills, a joist and three circular saws were cut), the sawmill warehouse and the sawmill dispatch.

For the transport of wood was built 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐚̆ 𝐢̂𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚̆ from the Bistriței gorge, and in the spring of 1940 the connection was made with Băbeni. The construction of the railway meant sacrificing the first component of the Queen Mary Bridge, at the entrance to the gorge, which has now disappeared.
