English: The EUROPEAN HIGHLANDER departing Larne
When the high-speed ferry from Belfast to Stranraer is cancelled because of high winds, its freight traffic often turns to the conventional service from Larne to Cairnryan. This is the European Highlander departing Larne with the delayed 10.30 sailing and, judging by her (apparent) draft, she is carrying diverted traffic in addition to her normal load. She is 159 metres long and was built in Japan in 2003. The wind strength was in the region of 35-50 knots.
