Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Thandai is an Indian cold drink prepared with a mixture of almonds, fennel seeds, rose petals, pepper, poppy seeds, cardamom, saffron, milk and sugar. It is native to India and is often associated with the Maha Shivaratri and Holi or Holla mahalla festival.

In the given picture, the thandai is served in a kulhad/clay cup which keeps it fresh and cold for a longer time and it also enhances the taste and smell of the food served in kulhads.

Here, thandai is topped with rose petals, which gives it a rather delicate after taste. During the summer season, you should definitely try this particular drink.

If you want to see how it's done, you can visit my mother's YouTube cooking channel, the link for it is here : https://www.youtube.com/c/cookcookcookingbysangitasharma
