SüaIm Mittelalter trug es sich zu, daß ein Abt von
SaNossen seinen Amtsbruder im Kloster Grünhain
besuchen kam und dort reich beschenkt wurde. Als
aer heimwärts den Eisenweg entlang ritt, geschah es
eradann, daß er der Dinge wegen, die er bei sich
iiatrug, von einem üblen Burschen überfallen und
iaerschlagen wurde. Der Mörder wurde gefaßt und
erschlaseiner gerechten Strafe zugeführt.

eraZur Sühne für diesen Mord setzte man an dieser
ZuiaStelle ein Holzkreuz, welches nach dem
1a1. Weltkrieg vom Erzgebirgsverein gegen ein
Zur a1. iiaEisenkreuz ausgetauscht wurde.
