| Description | Aux abords des temples, sur Thanon Maharat, on ne peut manquer les étals, à même le sol, où sont penchés les Thaïs en train d'examiner minutieusement de petites figurines. Ces pendentifs d'argile, à l'effigie du Bouddha ou d'une autre figure religieuse populaire, sont censés protéger du mauvais sort et conjurer les dangers, à condition d'avoir été bénis par un bonze. Les plus appréciés et les plus chers sont ceux qui favorisent la séduction ou l'élimination d'un rival, et surtout ceux permettant de gagner à la loterie. Et il n'est pas interdit d'en porter plusieurs en même temps. On ne sait jamais ! |
