Thésée-la-Romaine (Loir-et-Cher) Sittelle torchepot (Sitta europaea) Elle niche dans des trous d'arbre existants, comme d'anciennes loges de pics, dont elle cimente en partie le trou d'envol si celui-ci est trop grand. Si la loge est trop petite, elle peut l'agrandir à coups de bec. La sittelle constitue des réserves, insectes, graines, qu'elle cache dans des fissures d'arbre. Elle peut enterrer des proies. La sittelle est le seul oiseau qui peut descendre sur un tronc d'arbre la tête en bas. (440 oiseaux Delachaux) |
