Thésée-la-Romaine (Loir-et-Cher) Huppe fasciée. On trouve la Huppe fasciée dans les régions chaudes et tempérées de l'Ancien Monde. Elle fréquente la campagne ouverte parsemée de zones de terre nue ou d'herbe rase. Essentiellement insectivore, la huppe capture la grande majorité de ses proies au sol. La huppe est protégée par la loi en France et dans la plupart des pays européens. Les huppes européennes migrent jusqu'à l'Afrique tropicale pour passer l'hiver. En France, son arrivée est enregistrée dès la fin février dans le Sud, en mars ou avril dans les régions plus septentrionales. Mais elle quitte nos latitudes dès qu'elle a terminé sa nidification, au mois d'août et plus rarement en septembre. Hoopoe in the garden( Thésée - Loir et Cher - France).
