Mountings for controlling two or more warps and the placing ofshafts in the neck cords and below the comberboard are preparedand drawings made. The mounting of Brussels and ingrain machines are treated atlength, and opportunity is afforded the student to study the detailsclosely. JACQUARD DESIGN COURSE Designing.—As color is one of the essential features of a design,it is used to a great extent in the origination of elaborate designs. The planning on squared or point paper of fabrics having twoor more warps and fillings and the calculations for the proper sizepapers for the enlarged working designs are given considerableattention. Designs are prepared in a commercial way for brocades, brocatelles, rever-sible robes, blankets, two and three filling damasks, gobelins, terries, ingraincarpets, Brussels, tapestry, moquette, etc., carpets, coat labels, shoe pulls, etc. -ri-»-=fT~=5» II
