English: Panel of white cotton, copper plate printed in violet. Design known as "La Route de Poissey." Shows four scenes: 1) Men bowling, and on stone at side "Les Joueurs de Boules;" 2) Fat man on horseback and thin man smoking pipe. Inscription on stone "Route de Poissy" 3) Man playing bagpipe, and boy receiving money from a lady, on a stone at side "Joueur de Carnemuse;" a carriage with two men on the box and passengers inside. Drawn by a jaded horse. Inscription on stone at side "Route de St. Cloud." also on a stone appears: "Delmes." |
