Description
English: Off-white cotton, copperplate-printed in a red Chinoiserie design, in the style of Jean-Baptiste Pillement. A young man and a servant carrying a standard ascend a floating stair to a pavilion, amid fantastical foliage. The panel shows one full repeat, and parts of two others. The fabric is pieced at the top, quilted and interlined with wool.
