The woman was not conscious of having syphilis, and, exceptfor some enlarged lymph glands, showed no symptoms of this disease, but her husband states thatseven months previous he had had a hard chancre and soon after this an eruption. The eye is injected,and in the lower part of the cornea there are some minute precipitates. The pupil has dilated but littleunder atropine; the margin of the pupil in many places is adherent to the lens capsule and is henceindented. In the lower quadrant there is situated in the pupillary zone of the iris the yellowish-red,not very sharply defined papule which juts somewhat into the pupil.
