Leptostraea.—The interesting genus Nelalia, which of all living)\I<iIncostroca stands nearest to their racial form, possesses an extra-ordinarily richly segmented nervous system. If this pronouncedsegmentation recalls, on the one hand, the nervous system of the Phyl-liij/tiiln (Bramchiopoda), it shows on the other (especially in the structureof the brain) a decidedly Malacostracan character.
