English: The Mayor Cell on Camp Prosperity hosts a block party June 26 in celebration of the full moon and fine company found on the Baghdad forward operating base. The members of the Joint Area Support Group-Central attended the event and were joined by JASG-C Commander Col. Mark Campsey and Command Sgt. Maj. Alfred Cordova, of the 72nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 36th Infantry Division, Texas Army National Guard. Others present included representatives of the Australian army, the Iraqi army, civilian contractors and the Federal Police Transition Team for the 56th Sustainment Brigade. Mayor Maj. Briscoe and Deputy Mayor Command Sgt. Maj. Richard Sublett played the perfects host; providing music, atmosphere, delicious local cuisine in the form of chicken and beef shwarma, hummus, tabouli and chopped vegetables, and plenty of malt-beverage to wash it all down. |
