| Description |
The city fathers in their wisdom decided to have installed eight Tesla charging stations on city property. The idea was (probably) to lure Tesla owners out of their posh enclaves in the San Francisco Bay, so that they would see Ukiah and hopefully buy up the real estate here. City fathers love gentrification for some reason. The city fathers are said to have rejected the idea of a free gasoline pump at the same site. The reason that Teslas can recharge for free is that the famed inventor Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) worked on the free, wireless distribution of electricity. The laws of physics nixed that idea, but in his honor Teslas are entitled in perpetuity to free electricity. |
