Description SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Nov. 12, 2010) – Col. Bill Leady (right), commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District, and district park ranger Terry Hershey (left) pose with the Sacramento Kings basketball team mascot, Slamson, before the Kings’ Military Appreciation Night game here Nov. 10. The Sacramento District was recognized along with fellow military servicemembers during opening ceremonies and hosted a welcome booth to explain the Corps’ mission and educate attendees about levee safety, water safety and job opportunities with the Corps.
