Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Terminus, near to Sheringham, Norfolk, Great Britain.

This is now the end of the railway line from Norwich to Sheringham, branded 'The Bittern Line'. In my experience it is very busy and provides an hourly service to Norwich. The facilities are typical of the minimalist approach offered at 'rural' stations, although there is a covered shelter, with 'bum perches', behind the camera position.

Additional information provided by Ashley Dace 2009-01-12:

The station is currently the smallest railway terminus in the UK, however the long lost level crossing to the original Sheringham station is to be put back in stages, Otterndorf green is to go in January and the track over the road and small carpark before Easter. The first train to commercially use the new connection is booked for May. The crossing will be basic, just being track over the road to allow the odd rail tour and stock movement a few times a year.
