Reportage / Serie : [ onbekend ] English: 1964. Demonstration of an add-on cleaning/antistatic brush (commonly called a dustbug), mounted to a Bang & Olufsen turntable (probably model 42 [1]). Original caption: "Exhibition Femina in Ahoy in Rotterdam. Demonstration of new way to clean gramophone records. For this, an attachment, a suction cup, is attached to the pick-up. A plastic arm with a hole is placed on this suction cup. At the end of this arm is a round soft brush, which must be rubbed with anti-static liquid. At the end of the entire plastic arm is a nylon brush that follows the groove closely and slides with the plate". |
