English: Aaikkudi Ulagamman Temple is nothing but Tenkasi Ulagamman Temple. In the initial periods, tenkasi was one among the part of tirunelveli, but now tenkasi has become a separate district. The name aaikkudi ulagamman temple were familiar during the very initial period, that is, before separating tenkasi as a district. Now it has got its real name, Tenkasi Ulagamman Temple. This is the rajagopuram, which is prominently at the eye of tenkasi. A good parking and a sufficient space is left in front of the rajagopuram. Evening people is use to gather with their family to enjoy the breeze of western ghats. The rajagopuram is situated in such a way that, the breeze from the river enters the way in. Because of this, it also a got a special name "Thendral Thavazhum Tenkasi".
தமிழ்: ஆய்க்குடி உலகம்மன் கோயில், தென்காசி உலகம்மன் கோவில் இரண்டும் வேறு இல்லை . ஆரம்ப காலங்களில், தென்காசி திருநெல்வேலியின் ஒரு பகுதியாக இருந்தது, ஆனால் இப்போது தென்காசி ஒரு தனி மாவட்டமாக மாறியுள்ளது. ஆய்க்குடி உலகம்மன் கோவில் என்ற பெயர் ஆரம்ப காலத்தில், அதாவது தென்காசியை ஒரு மாவட்டமாகப் பிரிப்பதற்கு முன்பாக வைக்கப்பட்டு இருந்தது . இப்போது அதன் உண்மையான பெயர், தென்காசி உலகம்மன் கோவில். இது தென்காசியின் ராஜகோபுரம். ராஜகோபுரத்திற்கு முன்னால் ஒரு நல்ல பார்க்கிங் மற்றும் போதுமான இடம் உள்ளது. மாலைநேர மக்கள் மேற்குத் தொடர்ச்சி மலையின் காற்றை அனுபவிக்க தங்கள் குடும்பத்துடன் கூடிவருவதற்குப் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறார்கள். ஆற்றில் இருந்து தென்றல் உள்ளே நுழையும் வாக்கில் இக்கோபுரம் அமைத்துள்ளது . இதன் காரணமாக, "தென்றல் தவழும் தென்காசி" என்ற சிறப்புப் பெயரும் கிடைத்தது.
