Summary
[edit]DescriptionTemporary mini-high platform at Taraval and 32nd Avenue, January 2021.jpg |
English: A temporary mini-high platform at Taraval and 32nd Avenue in January 2021. This was constructed for the return of rail service (after 5 months replaced with buses due to COVID-19) in August 2020. L Taraval service remained suspended west of Sunset Boulevard to allow for construction of the L Taraval Rapid project. This platform was constructed as an accessible inbound transfer point between trains and buses, as trains used the crossover west of 35th Avenue to reverse direction and thus could not use the inbound platform at Sunset. Rail service was re-suspended three days after it resumed due to bad wire splices and a COVID case in the control center; some lines had resumed by the time this photo was taken, but L service was still by bus. |
