Description JOPLIN, Mo. -- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' contractors continue work at the Officer Jeff Taylor Memorial Acres and Hope Haven temporary housing sites near Joplin Regional Airport. The two community group sites will feature 346 modular homes and 20 storm shelters for residents displaced by the May 22 tornado. Contractors are working 24-hours a day to meet the Corps target of opening 170 homes for families with school-age children by Aug. 17. (U.S. Army photo/Mark Haviland)
