Una de las grandes obras de Antonio Palacios en Galicia es el Templo Votivo Mar en Panxón, proyectado entre 1932 y 1937. Actualmente este hermoso edificio se encuentra muy deteriorado por el modo y los materiales con los que se edificó el templo, que se levantó gracias a las aportaciones de los vecinos, que contribuyeron a su construcción incluso con materiales reciclados. El templo se halla cargado de referencias historicistas. Los pazos barrocos, la catedral de Tui, o las ruinas de un arco visigodo (siglo VII) que se encuentra en su mismo entorno, servirán de elementos inspiradores para Antonio Palacios. Uno de sus mejores tesoros es el tratamiento de la luz a través de las vidrieras industriales montadas en hormigón. Visita muy recomendada en el Val Miñor. |
