Fue construida entre 1749 y 1752 como parte del gran conjunto integrado por el convento de San Francisco y cinco capillas anexas. Está Capilla, es el único templo del siglo XVIII en Guadalajara que conserva sus hermosos retablos churriguerescos, elaborados en madera tallada.

Originalmente formó parte del convento de San Francisco de Asís. El periodo de su construcción abarca de 1749 a 1752. Dedicada a Nuestra Señora de Aránzazu, imagen de veneración española, asentada en el nicho central del Altar mayor. Este templo es magníficó y uno de los grandes tesoros de Guadalajara, ya que en su interior se conservan tres altares de estilo barroco Churrigueresco que cuentan con detalles ornamentales cubiertos con hojas de oro.
