Description
Español: Fundado el 8 de diciembre de 1709 por el Padre Lucas Caballero, siendo en 1722 su traslado hasta donde se encuentra hoy; capital de la provincia Ñuflo de Chaves al noroeste del departamento de Santa Cruz a 290 km.

El templo NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LA INMACULADA CONCEPCIÓN, fue construida por el padre Martin Schmid entre 1753 y 1756, declarado monumento nacional en 1950 y patrimonio de la humanidad en 1990.

El aspecto actual se debe a la restauración de Hans Roth en 1975, con el apoyo del Monseñor Antonio Eduardo Bosl
