English: In this Western Union Telegram Dr. Esther E. Leonard was directed to report to the United States Army General Hospital No. 1 in New York. Dr. Leonard served as a contract surgeon during World War I at the U.S. Army General Hospital No. 1 in New York City and at an evacuation hospital in Vichy, France.
