Description

La Casa degli Omenoni è un palazzo di Milano costruito intorno al 1565, situato nella odierna Via degli Omenoni. Il nome deriva dagli otto grandi telamoni (omenoni, ovvero "grandi uomini") della facciata, scolpiti da Antonio Abondio. Il palazzo è stato l'abitazione dello scultore Leone Leoni,padre di Pompeo Leoni, al cui cognome allude il rilievo con la Calunnia sbranata dai leoni. Giorgio Vasari lo diceva "pieno in modo di capricciose invenzioni, che non n'è forse un altro simile in tutto Milano"
