Summary
[edit]DescriptionTektronix M377 instrumentation amp simplified.png |
— Springer, 2007. — 630 p. — ISBN 9780387283418. pp. 5.117-5.123 и статья самого разработчика - Addis J. Versatile analogue chip for oscilloscope plug-ins // Electronics Engineering ; 1988 ; № 8. — С. 23—28 ; 1988 ; № 9. — С. 37—43. English: Input instrumentation amplifier of the Tektronix M377 IC (1988), very very simplified. It is, put simply, a long-tailed pair made not of transistors, but of Schlotzauer-style followers. Each of these 'transistors' has very high transconductance, which is lowered by inclusion of laser-trimmed degeneration resistors between two 'emitters'. This means that (a) transconductance is as constant as nichrome resistors could be, meaning very low distortion (b) balance, offset, offset drift are as good as these resistors: semiconductor thermals are excluded from the equation. A detailed description was published by John Addis in Electronics Engineering, Aug-Sept 1988, and later in Wideband Amplifiers by Staric and Margan (2007). |
