Description
English: Chironomidae larva from a two week old pond in Munich, Germany. The animal was freely swimming in the water, moving snake-like and fast, thus images are somewhat blurry. It is about 1 cm long, the head is right. The magnified tail details are from other images of the same animal.
Deutsch: Zuckmückenlarve (de:Chironomidae) aus einem neu angelegten Gartenteich in Westen Münchens, gefunden und aufgenommen im Juni 2007. Die Gesamtlänge ist etwa 1 cm, der Kopf ist rechts. Die kleinen Bilder zeigen Ausschnitte aus anderen Aufnahmen des Hinterendes des gleichen Tiers. Die Larve bewegte sich frei schwebend im Wasser, schlängelnd und schnell, daher sind die Aufnahmen etwas unscharf.
