Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Tedder (?) marks the path west. The path was muddy after a lot of rain that also made the nettles grow! Probably the most common of abandoned farm vehicles is the tedder, or hay-turner. Towed behind a tractor (or horse), it had curved tines on two heads that revolved and turned the hay over so that it dried on the underside. Because this needed to be done often, farmers tended to buy their own, whereas the more expensive hay-baler was hired for its once-yearly task.
