Summary

[edit]
Description Huge concrete tanks in a large shed where the fresly picked tea leaves are received and stored. I assume that these huge tanks are for washing the just plucked tea leaves. The smell of fresh tea leaves was heavenly, and I noticed that here too the standard method of plucking has been followed- two leaves and a bud! The sheer size of the concrete tank can well be appereciated from this photograph. (Vagamon/ Munnar Tea Estates, Kerala, India, Apr. 2016)
