English: Tbilisi in some countries also still named by its pre-1936 international designation Tiflis is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of approximately 1.5 million people.
ქართული: თბილისი საქართველოს დედაქალაქი; 1922–1936 წლებში ერთდროულად იყო ამიერკავკასიის სფსრ დედაქალაქი; მდებარეობს აღმოსავლეთ საქართველოში, თბილისის ქვაბულში, მდინარე მტკვრის ორივე სანაპიროზე, ზღვის დონიდან 380–600 მ სიმაღლეზე, ჩრდილოეთით ესაზღვრება საგურამოს ქედის სამხრეთი მთისწინეთი, აღმოსავლეთით — ივრის ზეგნის ჩრდილო-დასავლეთი მონაკვეთი, დასავლეთით და სამხრეთით კი — თრიალეთის ქედის განშტოებები.
فارسی: تفلیس پایتخت و بزرگترین شهر گرجستان و شرق اروپا می‌باشد.
این شهر در دو طرف رود متکواری قرار داشته و جمعیتی حدود ۲٫۵ میلیون در آن زندگی می‌کنند. تفلیس در قرن پنجم میلادی و توسط واختانگ یکم پادشاه گرجستان باستان یا همان ایبریا بنیان‌گذاری شده و به سبب آچشمه‌های آب گرم آن، «تْبیلیسی» (مشتق از واژهٔ «تْبیلی» به معنای گرم؛ منسوب به چشمه‌های آب گرم تفلیس) نام گرفته است.
