English: Taynish Peninsula, seen from Kilmory Ross, 8.00pm Taynish Peninsula is owned and managed by Scottish Natural Heritage.
This small peninsula still supports oak forest, the temperate rain forest which once covered the West of Scotland. On Taynish, it's hardly been touched by the hand of man. In the foreground is Linne Mhuirich, a very special neck of Loch Sween. |
