Description
English: The temple of Tauleshwor Baba or Tamreshwar Mahadev located in Taulihawa Municipality Ward No. 2, the headquarters of Kapilvastu District of Nepal. This is a very ancient temple of Kapilbastu district. Inside this temple, there is a Shiva linga about 3 feet high. The name of this place has also been changed to Taulihawa after the name of Tamreshwar Mahadev. There used to be a Buddhist stupa here, but after its demolition, it is said that Shivalinga. This temple is believed to have been established before 1826 BS. Guru Vangai Baba, the ancestor of Hemlal Puri Gosai, is said to have excavated this temple and established it here after finding rare idols. There is also a stone abode inside this temple. According to the Vedic method, there is also a tradition of worshiping dance here. This temple is very much decorated during the great festival of Hindus, Shivaratri, and there is a huge crowd of devotees on that day. Devotees from neighboring India also come to Nepal on this day to visit this temple. This is a bizarre Shivalinga in Nepal.
