Description

Philadelphia Eddie is known by every tattoo shop, coast to coast. His work in the field and art is legendary. I went to this convention because I heard he was going to be there. He gave me my first two tattoos. I was a young sailor, 19 years old. I went to his shop on the corner of 12th and Cherry Ave in Chinatown section of Philadelphia. The window had a photo of Eddie tattooing Janis Joplin's wrist. That was January 1976.
