English: Tatiana Rynearson: The Old and the New - Long Term Time Series on the Eastern Seaboard
The best way to understand environmental change is through long-term monitoring. Long Term Ecological Research sites (LTER) and their research objectives are tailored to the most pressing and promising questions for each location. Tatiana Rynearson, URI Graduate School of Oceanography, joined other speakers from LTER sites on the New England Coast, Alaska, and the waters around Antarctica describing their research questions and how their research is clarifying our understanding of climate change impacts in coastal and marine ecosystems. The Peter B. Lord Seminar on the Environment: Sea Change: How Climate Change is Shifting Ocean Ecosystems was held in partnership with the New England Science Writers in Cambridge, Massachusetts on April 27, 2019.
