Description Hand coloured lithograph (circa 1910) of (Dromaeius diemenensis) which is now a synonym of the Tasmanian Emu (Dromaius novaehollandiae diemenensis) from The Birds of Australia (1910-28) by Gregory Macalister Mathews (1876-1949) - artwork by John Gerrard Keulemans (1842-1912). Based on a skin at the British Museum, posed after a photograph of the mainland emu.
