Description
English: Old postcard, entitled "Railroad Customs. Guayaquil." It is a view of the pier or dock in the city of Guayaquil, in the Republic of Ecuador in South America. This postcard was printed between 1901 and 1905, by the procedure called collotype. In the photo we see a small steam engine, registered as number 2 of the company, "Aduana de Guayaquil."
Español: Tarjeta postal antigua, titulada "Ferrocarril de Aduana. Guayaquil". Es una vista del malecón o muelle de la ciudad de Guayaquil, en la República del Ecuador, en América del Sur. Esta postal fue impresa entre los años 1901 y 1905, por el procedimiento llamado fototipia. En la fotografía vemos una pequeña locomotora de vapor, matriculada como número 2 de la compañía "Aduana de Guayaquil". Esta locomotora es del tipo "020" (de 2 ejes acoplados, en terminología española); construida posiblemente hacia el año 1895 en Estados Unidos. La máquina circulaba solamente en los muelles a orillas del río Guayas.

Tarjeta postal impresa antes del año 1906, porque tiene el reverso sin dividir. El editor de esta postal fue: "Fotografía Velox". En el reverso sólo está impreso lo siguiente: "TARJETA POSTAL. Union postale universelle".
