| Description |
English: Tardebigge Lake - 1. Looking north-east from the embankment with the canal on the left. The 25-acre reservoir is covered in a thick layer of ice after several nights of frost. Originally a clay pit, enlarged and filled to supply water to the Tardebigge flight of locks, which uses a lot of water due to its extreme length. It also supplied the pumping station near the top of the flight - see 825989. The reservoir still supplies water to the canal today.
