Escena del barco. El monstruo marítimo en posición de tragar a Jonás. Levántate, ve a Nínive, la gran ciudad, y clama contra ella, porque su maldad ha subido delante de mi.- Y los marinos tuvieron miedo, y cada uno clamaba a su dios; y echaron al mar los enseres que había en la nave, para aligerarla. Pero Jonás había bajado al interior de la nave, y se había acostado, y dormía profundamente.- Y tomaron a Jonás y lo echaron al mar, y el furor del mar se aquietó.
El monstruo (kethos) arroja a Jonás. Entonces, el Señor dio instrucciones al pez y este vomitó a Jonás en tierra firme (70,5 cm.)
Jonás descansa bajo una planta. Y preparó Jehová Dios una calabacera, la cual creció sobre Jonás para que hiciese sombra sobre su cabeza, y le librase de su malestar; y Jonás se alegró grandemente.
