English: Annually, residents of Aliaga, Nueva Ecija celebrate the “Taong Putik Festival”, where hundreds of devotees would start early in the day and wear dried banana leaves with smolders of mud, walk to the church from the muddy rice fields and pray to their patron Saint John the Baptist, thankful for the bountiful year of harvest. |
