Description Tāne Mahuta, the largest standing kauri in the world, from viewing platform further away. The trunk has a diameter of over 4 metres (13 ft), a girth of 14 metres (46 ft) and a height of almost 18 metres (59 ft), working out at an estimated 244 cubic metres (8,600 cu ft) of wood in the trunk alone.
