English: Built in 1881, Saint John the Evangelist Parish Church of Tanauan [1] Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lipa[2] [3] Coordinates: 14°5'9"N 121°9'13"E - Vicariate VI: Vicariate of the Most Holy Rosary - Saint John the Evangelist is its patron & its main church is the Saint John the Evangelist Parish Church of Tanauan beside the La Consolacion College Tanauan[4] Iglesia de San Juan Evangelista's façade is Romanesque and High Renaissance architectural styles. Tanauan's ecclesiastical supervision of the city was accepted by the Augustinians on 5 May 1584, and Padre Antonio Roxas became the first parish priest; the church was rebuilt by Padre José Díaz in 1881. [5][6](formerly Our Lady of Fatima Academy, 1948), run by the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, is the first Catholic school in the city. Tanauan, Batangas [7] - The City of Tanauan is a first class city in the province of Batangas, Philippines. According to the latest census, it has a population of 152,393 inhabitants in 30, 354 households; incorporated as a city under Republic Act No. 9005, signed on February 2, 2001, and ratified on March 10, 2001.
