Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Avaniyapuram Jallikattu festival is one of the most famous in the world, and it is the largest Jallikattu event in Tamil Nadu, attracting thousands of spectators and hundreds of tamers. Jallikattu, celebrated on the third day of the Pongal festival, encouraged and nurtured the warrior sport, reinstating the significance of bulls and their connection to agriculture. The Taming of the Bull is a reaffirmation of the pride among the Tamils across the world, which carries a very old culture and tradition.
