Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Tamarisk on cornish hedge, near Treyarnon. Tamarisk is tolerant to salt, and is planted near the sea to provide an extra wind break. Here it is on top of a cornish hedge, which is a stone wall covered in earth. Collins Tree Guide says that it is native from North Africa to Northern France near the Atlantic, has long been naturalised in the U.K., and might be native. There are several similar varieties.
