Description
English: A plaque commemorating the ORP Orzeł incident in Tallinn in 1939
Polski: Tablica upamiętniająca ucieczkę ORP Orzeł z Tallinna w 1939 r.

15 września 1939 roku na skutek nacisku Rzeszy Niemieckiej internowany został w Tallinnie okręt podwodny polskiej marynarki wojennej ORP "Orzeł" dowodzony przez kpt mar. Jana Grudzińskiego. Rozbrojony okręt w nocy 17/18 września 1939 r. wsławił się brawurową ucieczką do Wielkiej Brytanii, skąd kontynuował walkę na morzu. Wydarzenia te stały się pretekstem do utworzenia na terenie Estonii sowieckich baz wojskowych a następnie inkorporacji w skład Związku Sowieckiego.
