Thev were full of wonderto see the white men, and their clothes,and boots, and their strange ships. But the white men did not stav Ions;.They sailed aw^ay and found some otherislands. Then they went back to Spain.What a wonderful story they had to tell 95 of new lands, and strange people, andanimals, and birds, and flowers! When the other seamen heard thatColumbus had come back safe, they wereno longer afraid to sail far away fromhome. Many of them went across the seain their ships, to see for themselves thenew lands which had been found. Some went farther still, and foundother lands in the New World.
