In one of these fights, the shepherdsof the old king caught Remus and tookhim away to the house of their master.Romulus ran after his brother to try tohelp him, but the shepherds got himalso. Then the two lads were takenbefore the old king, who was theirgrandfather. When the old king saw the tall prettyboys in their plain clothes, he stared. Surely those fine lads are not thesons of a shepherd? said he. He asked many things of the boys andof the shepherds.
