Description
Español: Monumento a Bernardo O'Higgins en Talca (firmando el acta de la independencia el 12 de febrero de 1818, primer aniversario de la batalla de Chacabuco, en ese mismo lugar). El monumento es obra de la escultora Pamela Galleguillos y fue inaugurado en febrero de 2016.[1]
La pluma, todavía no reemplazada y sostituida por un lápiz rojo, le ha sido robada en julio de 2018 (véase: El Centro, Año XXX, N.° 10.650, 7 de julio de 2018, pág. 7).
Deutsch: Denkmal vor dem Rathaus von Talca: zeigt Bernardo O'Higgins bei der Unterzeichnung der chilenischen Unabhängigkeitsakte in Talca am 12. Februar 1818, dem ersten Jahrestag der Schlacht bei Chacabuco. Das von der Bildhauerin Pamela Galleguillos geschaffene Denkmal wurde im Februar 2016 eingeweiht.[2]
Die Schreibfeder, die die Figur in der rechten Hand hielt, wurde im Juli 2018 durch Vandalismus abgebrochen und gestohlen und (wiewohl am gleichen Tage wiedererlangt) noch nicht wieder angebracht (Quelle: El Centro, Jg. XXX, Nr. 10.650, 7. Juli 2018, S. 7); sie war zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt durch einen roten Kugelschreiber ersetzt.
